What to See and Do

A trip to Litchfield National Park will show visitors the beautiful waterfalls of Buley, Tolmer, Florence, Wangi and Cascade and surrounding flora and wildlife. Further exploration will take in the amazing termite mounds and the sandstone pillars of the “Lost City”.

Visitors  can drive themselves to most main Park attractions on a good sealed road, weather permitting, or local tour operators provide land-based tours of the Park and air charter flights operate out of Batchelor airport.

In town there is a swimming pool, tennis court and bowling rink available to visitors. The local Tavern provides meals and entertainment including a well-patronised Karaoke night on Fridays, the Bowling Club holds a monthly quiz night and a local market operates once each month. There are also guided walking tours of the town’s many historic sites.
